Public, members-only and limited to your domain
Decide who can read your board, who can sign in to it, and whether search engines and AI crawlers may index it.
Who can see the board
Under Visibility, Everyone with the address makes the board public. Only signed-in voters makes it members-only: every visitor signs in before they see a single idea, and the board is never open to crawlers.
Who can sign in
Allowed email domains limits the board to people at your company or your customers' companies.
- Type the domains, separated by commas and without the @: for example
example.com. - Save. From now on only addresses at those domains, and at their subdomains, can sign up or sign in.
For a board only colleagues can open, use both: members-only, with your company's domain on the list.
Crawlers
| Choice | Effect |
|---|---|
| Search engines and AI crawlers | Anyone may index the board. This is where a public board starts. |
| Search engines only | Search engines may index it; AI crawlers are asked to stay out. |
| Nobody | The board is kept out of search and AI. |
On a members-only board this choice is switched off, because nothing is indexed.
How voters prove who they are
Voter authentication has two modes. With No integration, visitors create an account on the board with an email and a password. With Identify / SSO, your own product vouches for them and they arrive signed in. The second needs a developer; the steps are in the SSO guide.
