The free UserVoice alternative.
Public pricing. Live in a minute.
Choose Kjerr, not UserVoice. Replace quote-only enterprise feedback software with a free feedback board you can launch in a minute.
UserVoice is an enterprise feedback platform sold through a demo. Kjerr is a feedback board you can open, try and launch before that call would have been scheduled.
A free UserVoice alternative: every feature, no credit card.
What we're opinionated about
Feedback software you can start using today.
UserVoice is built for mid-market and enterprise programs with a customer success manager attached. Kjerr is built to be running before lunch.
Live in a minute
Sign up, confirm your email, name the workspace. No demo call, no onboarding project, nothing to install.
No meter on your users
Voters, ideas, teammates and comments are unlimited. The price will be per workspace, so a popular board never costs more than a quiet one.
Your login, on every plan
Your product signs a JWT and users arrive on the board logged in, carrying company, plan and MRR. It is part of every workspace, not an enterprise tier.
Nobody shouts into a void
A status change or a reply emails the author and every voter, under your name, with a one-click unsubscribe. Closing the loop is the product, not an add-on.
Feedback board
A free feedback board people actually use.
A public board at yourname.kjerr.io where customers post ideas, vote, comment and attach screenshots and files. Reading and searching need no account; the first post, vote or comment confirms an email once, or users arrive already signed in from your product.
- Duplicates caught mid-sentence. Similar ideas appear while someone types a title, with a vote button beside each.
- Merge that loses nothing. Votes de-duplicate, comments move and the old link redirects.
- A roadmap that follows your statuses. Under consideration, Planned, In Development, Shipped; rename, recolour and reorder them.
- 11 board languages, 15 themes. Each visitor can pick their own language, and ideas can be translated between them automatically.
How the product roadmap tool works
- Someone asks. Short title, optional detail, up to 5 screenshots.
- Others vote. One click. Votes never send email.
- You triage in one screen. Unread first, keyboard shortcuts, replies, internal notes, private tags.
- Everyone hears back. A status change or a reply emails the author and every voter.
The concrete difference
A minute, not a quarter.
Kjerr has no sales step. You sign up, confirm your email, name the workspace, and the board is public. Everything in the product is switched on, including single sign-on and Users & Companies, and the price is on the pricing page.
UserVoice publishes no prices and every button on its pricing page leads to a conversation with an expert. Trials exist, but they start with a demo booking, and UserVoice itself says most teams launch in four to six weeks.
Kjerr
- Self-serve sign-up, no card
- Every feature on from the first minute
- The price is published
- Nothing to install or configure first
UserVoice
Pricing on request. A 30-day trial workspace is set up after you book a demo, and the vendor's own estimate for launch is four to six weeks.
UserVoice pricing vs Kjerr
If the price is a conversation, it is not a small one.
UserVoice does not publish a price. Its pricing page names no plans and no figures; it says pricing “scales with what you use” and is based on feedback volume, the tools you use and the integrations you connect, never on seats. That last part is a good principle, and Kjerr shares it.
What the page cannot tell you is whether the product fits your budget. You find out after a call. Figures quoted around the web come from competitors' blogs and disagree with each other, so this page does not repeat them. If you want the number, UserVoice is the only reliable source.
The help center still describes three Discovery plans, Essentials, Pro and Premium, and the parts a public board needs are spread across them: the web portal and the widget begin at Pro, while a public roadmap, a custom domain, revenue segmentation and the Admin API are Premium.
Kjerr takes the opposite position. One price, published: $0, and any future paid plan will be flat per workspace. Nothing is gated, because there is only one plan. Both approaches are reasonable. One suits a procurement process; the other suits a team that wants to start.
Read it at the source: UserVoice's own pricing page. Ours is on Kjerr's pricing page.

Announcements
A changelog that reaches the people who asked.
Announcements are product update posts on the same board: categories, emoji reactions, comments, search by text and date, and an email subscription that is verified before the first send.
- Sent under your name. Emails go out as your workspace, with a one-click unsubscribe.
- Tied to the ideas. Moving an idea to Shipped already told its author and voters; the post tells everyone else.
- Crawlable. Plain HTML, and each board chooses whether search engines and AI crawlers may index it.
Why it matters: closing the customer feedback loop
Portal sections
- Ideas. Post, vote, comment, search.
- Roadmap. Your statuses as columns.
- Announcements. What shipped, with reactions and comments.
Each section is a switch in settings.
An honest answer
When UserVoice is the better fit
- You need votes weighted by account revenue, with Salesforce data enriching every voter.
- You want a customer success manager, guided onboarding and help migrating.
- Procurement requires SOC 2 Type II and enterprise access controls such as private forums by SSO or IP.
- You run Jira Data Center, Azure DevOps, Gainsight or Salesforce and need them connected.
Both products are reasonable. UserVoice is a managed feedback program for larger companies; Kjerr is a board a small team can open today and understand in one sitting.
And when it isn't
Choose Kjerr over UserVoice if
- You want to see the price before you talk to anyone.
- You want to launch this week, not this quarter.
- You need a public board, a roadmap and status emails, and not much else.
- You want SSO and customer revenue data without a Premium plan.
- Nobody on your team has time to run a feedback program.

Migration
How to switch from UserVoice to Kjerr.
Every comparison page promises an easy migration. Ours is short because Kjerr stores little: ideas, votes, comments, statuses and the people behind them.
- Export from UserVoice. In the UserVoice admin console, export the idea grid as CSV with “Ideas and Voters” selected. Comments export separately on Pro and Premium.
- Send us the file. Create your Kjerr workspace (about a minute), then email the export. We map its columns to Kjerr's and load it into your board.
- Point your users at the new board. Statuses you used are matched to yours, the roadmap fills itself from them, and single sign-on can be switched on the same day.
The import keeps each idea's title, details, created date, vote count, status and author. Comments and the list of individual voters are not carried over; the vote count is. A changelog from AnnounceKit moves over with every post's text, category, publication date and pictures. There is no self-serve importer yet: a person at Kjerr converts the file and loads it, usually within a working day, and re-running it never duplicates a row. Write to hello@kjerr.io. UserVoice alternative: questions, answered.
What is a simpler alternative to UserVoice?
Kjerr is a simpler alternative to UserVoice for teams that want a public feedback board with voting, duplicate merging, a status roadmap, a changelog and emails to voters when a request changes status. It has a published price, takes about a minute to set up, and leaves out revenue-weighted prioritization, private forums and CRM integrations.
How much does UserVoice cost?
UserVoice does not publish prices. Its pricing page says plans are based on feedback volume, tools and integrations, never seats, and asks you to talk to an expert. Figures on other sites come from third parties and conflict, so ask UserVoice directly. Kjerr is $0, and any future paid plan will be priced flat per workspace.
Does Kjerr have forums like UserVoice?
UserVoice forums are separate areas for ideas about a topic or product. Kjerr uses topics, which are public tags on one board, and separate workspaces for separate products: up to 10 per login, each with its own board, team and settings.
Does Kjerr have an equivalent of UserVoice supporters and status updates?
Yes. On Kjerr a supporter is a voter. When you change an idea's status or reply as an admin, the author and every voter get an email under your workspace name, with a one-click unsubscribe.
Can Kjerr weight feedback by revenue like UserVoice?
Partly. Kjerr shows each person's company, plan and MRR in Users & Companies, from single sign-on or the Identify API, and you can filter by saved segments. It does not weight votes by revenue for you; the internal roadmap shows the MRR behind each idea beside its RICE score, and you decide what that weighs.
Can I migrate my UserVoice ideas to Kjerr?
Yes. Export ideas and voters from UserVoice as CSV and email the file to us; we convert and load it. The import keeps each idea's title, details, created date, vote count, status and author. Comments and the list of individual voters are not carried over; the vote count is. A changelog from AnnounceKit moves over with every post's text, category, publication date and pictures.
What does UserVoice have that Kjerr does not?
Revenue-weighted prioritization, private forums, and integrations with Jira, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Zendesk, Slack and Teams, plus a customer success manager. If you need those, UserVoice is the better fit.
Does Kjerr integrate with Jira, Linear, Slack or Zapier?
Not natively. Kjerr connects to your own product instead: a REST API and signed webhooks, single sign-on with a signed JWT, an Identify API for company, plan and MRR, a JavaScript SDK, and a read-only MCP server for AI assistants. A webhook can post to Slack or open a ticket if you write that step; if a ready-made two-way sync with an issue tracker is essential, Kjerr is not the right tool.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. A board starts at yourname.kjerr.io; under Settings → Custom domain you can move it to an address like feedback.yourcompany.com with one CNAME record. HTTPS is set up for you, and the old address sends visitors to the new one.
Can I remove the Kjerr branding from my board?
Yes, on every workspace and at no cost. Settings has one switch for the “hosted by Kjerr” line and one for the “Create your own free idea board” chip. Emails are sent under your workspace name.
Is single sign-on included?
Yes, on every workspace. Your product signs an HS256 JWT and users arrive on the board logged in, carrying company, plan and MRR. See the single sign-on docs.
Can people give feedback without an account?
Reading and searching need no account. The first post, vote or comment confirms an email address once; there is no password to create. With single sign-on, users skip that step as well.
How long does setup take?
About a minute: sign up, confirm your email, name the workspace, and the board is live. There is nothing to install.
Give it a weekend. It's free.
Free to use. No demo, no card; bring a UserVoice export and we load it for you.
