A public roadmap tool
your users already vote on.

Kjerr is a public roadmap tool built on top of Kjerr's feedback board: every idea has a status, and the roadmap shows those statuses in four columns. Change a status and the roadmap updates, and everyone who voted gets an email.

A public product roadmap without the upkeep

A public product roadmap goes stale when it is a second document. Kjerr's cannot, because it is a view of the ideas your users posted, grouped by the status your team set.

Four columns

Under consideration, Planned, In Development, Shipped. A visitor sees what is coming without opening each idea, and sorts each column by most voted or newest.

Made of real requests

Each card is an idea from the board, with its votes and comments one click away. Nothing is typed twice.

Moves send email

When an idea changes status, its author and every voter hear about it within seconds, under your workspace name.

How the roadmap gets its content

A roadmap is only as honest as the statuses behind it. In Kjerr the statuses are set in the same inbox where the team reads and answers feedback.

  1. Users post and vote. Requests arrive on the board, where feature voting ranks them and duplicates are caught while typing.
  2. The team sets a status. From the admin inbox, with a keyboard shortcut for each one.
  3. The roadmap follows. The idea moves to its column at once; there is no publish step.
  4. Voters are told. Status emails go to the author and every voter, never for votes alone. That is how you close the feedback loop.

Public roadmap practices that keep trust

A public roadmap is a promise in slow motion, so publish only what you would be comfortable being asked about.

  • Show states, not dates. Planned means decided, not scheduled.
  • Keep under consideration honest: it is where most ideas live, and that is fine.
  • Move things backwards in public when plans change, with a reply that says why.
  • Decline in the open. A declined idea with a reason is better than a column that only grows.
  • Let the shipped column lead to a post in the product changelog, so the story has an end.

What this product roadmap tool does not do

Kjerr is a product roadmap tool for showing progress to users, not for planning work inside the team. If you need the second, pair it with your planning tool.

  • No date estimates, quarters or timelines shown to customers.
  • No scores or effort estimates on the public page; they live on the team-only internal roadmap, scored with RICE, which customers never see.
  • No built-in sync with Jira or Linear; a webhook on status changes can feed one you build.

Who it is for

Product teams at SaaS companies of any size, from startups to enterprise, that want a public feedback board, a team-only roadmap scored with RICE, and reliable follow-up emails without a help-desk suite or a per-seat bill. It suits teams that want to show direction publicly and keep their promises small.

Questions, answered plainly.

What is a public roadmap?

A public roadmap is a page that shows users what a product team is considering, building and has shipped. It answers the question support hears most, which is whether something is coming, before anyone has to ask it.

What does Kjerr's public roadmap show?

Ideas grouped by status in four columns: Under consideration, Planned, In Development, Shipped. It is the same data as the feedback board, so there is nothing to maintain twice. Declined ideas stay off the roadmap.

Can I rename the roadmap columns?

Yes. Statuses can be renamed, recoloured and reordered in settings, and the roadmap follows at once.

Does the roadmap show dates or estimates?

No. There are no date estimates, no quarters and no scores on the public roadmap. A status says where something is; it does not promise when. ETAs and RICE scores live on the team-only internal roadmap, which customers never see. That is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature.

Can the roadmap be private?

A Kjerr board is public or members-only, and the roadmap follows the board. A members-only board sends every visitor through sign-in or your product's SSO and is never indexed by search engines.

Can visitors sort the roadmap?

Yes. Each visitor sorts the columns by most voted or newest, and the choice is remembered for them. The columns themselves follow the order of your statuses.

Can the roadmap be read in other languages?

Yes. The board comes in eleven languages, each visitor picks theirs, and ideas and status names can be translated automatically, so the column headings and the cards read in one language.

Who is told when something moves on the roadmap?

The idea's author and every voter get an email when its status changes, with one-click unsubscribe. For everyone else, publish an announcement in the changelog.

Give your users an answer.

Kjerr is free during early access, with every feature included and no credit card. When paid plans arrive they will be priced per workspace, never per admin seat and never per tracked user, so the number of people who post, vote or comment never changes the bill.
