The free UserJot alternative.
SSO on every plan. No AI agent.
Choose Kjerr, not UserJot. Replace an AI agent, live chat and paid sign-on with a free, focused feedback board that includes SSO.
UserJot is feedback, roadmap and changelog with AI, a widget, live chat and a generous free plan. Kjerr is quieter: no AI agent, no chat, and the sign-on and customer data are not paid features.
A free UserJot alternative: every feature, no credit card.
What we're opinionated about
Two tools that price the same way and build differently.
UserJot prices the tool, not your reach, and so does Kjerr. UserJot keeps adding surfaces; Kjerr keeps a list of the ones it will not add.
One job
Collect requests, let people vote, triage in one inbox, tell everyone when it ships. Kjerr publishes the list of what it leaves out, and means it.
Your login, on every plan
Your product signs a JWT and users arrive on the board logged in, carrying company, plan and MRR. It is part of every workspace, not an enterprise tier.
Evidence beside every score
The internal roadmap scores ideas with RICE or your own factors, and keeps the votes, the companies and the MRR behind each idea next to the score. The decision stays with you.
Plain, fast pages
Boards are server-rendered HTML that works without JavaScript, loads in milliseconds and can be crawled, or kept out of search entirely; each board decides.
Feedback board
A free feedback board people actually use.
A public board at yourname.kjerr.io where customers post ideas, vote, comment and attach screenshots and files. Reading and searching need no account; the first post, vote or comment confirms an email once, or users arrive already signed in from your product.
- Duplicates caught mid-sentence. Similar ideas appear while someone types a title, with a vote button beside each.
- Merge that loses nothing. Votes de-duplicate, comments move and the old link redirects.
- A roadmap that follows your statuses. Under consideration, Planned, In Development, Shipped; rename, recolour and reorder them.
- 11 board languages, 15 themes. Each visitor can pick their own language, and ideas can be translated between them automatically.
More on feature request tracking
- Someone asks. Short title, optional detail, up to 5 screenshots.
- Others vote. One click. Votes never send email.
- You triage in one screen. Unread first, keyboard shortcuts, replies, internal notes, private tags.
- Everyone hears back. A status change or a reply emails the author and every voter.
The concrete difference
Knowing your users is not a paid feature.
In Kjerr, your product signs a JWT and users arrive on the board logged in, with their company, plan and MRR. Every workspace has this, along with the Identify API, the Users & Companies screens and a read-only MCP server for your AI assistant.
UserJot's free plan is generous with volume: unlimited users and posts. The identity features are where its plans begin. Automatic login is part of Starter at $29 a month, single sign-on is part of Professional at $59, and the MCP server and REST API are available on Starter and Professional.
Kjerr
- JWT single sign-on on every workspace
- Company, plan and MRR for every voter
- MCP server on every workspace
- Unlimited teammates in six roles
UserJot
Automatic login on Starter ($29 a month); single sign-on on Professional ($59). MCP and the REST API on Starter and above. The free plan has three admin roles.
UserJot pricing vs Kjerr
Priced the right way. The question is what sits behind the line.
UserJot has the pricing model this category should have had from the start: unlimited users and unlimited posts on every plan, including a free one that is free forever. Free has two boards, three admin roles, a public roadmap and a public changelog. Starter is $29 a month and Professional is $59. It charges for features, not for reach, and says so.
So the comparison is about which features. Starter adds a custom domain, guest posting, automatic login, private boards and one integration. Professional adds single sign-on, unlimited boards and admin roles, unlimited integrations and full white-labelling. The MCP server and the API begin at Starter. We found no documented CSV export; the documented way out is the API, which is a paid feature.
Kjerr draws no line yet, because it has one plan. Single sign-on, customer data, the MCP server, a members-only board and unlimited teammates are in every workspace. It is free, and any future paid plan will be flat per workspace.
The honest summary is that UserJot does more: AI tagging and changelog drafting, a widget, a Swift SDK, live chat, an AI support agent. Kjerr will not build most of those. Both products are reasonable. Choose by whether that list reads as value or as surface area.
Read it at the source: UserJot's own pricing page. Ours is on Kjerr's pricing page.

Announcements
A changelog that reaches the people who asked.
Announcements are product update posts on the same board: categories, emoji reactions, comments, search by text and date, and an email subscription that is verified before the first send.
- Sent under your name. Emails go out as your workspace, with a one-click unsubscribe.
- Tied to the ideas. Moving an idea to Shipped already told its author and voters; the post tells everyone else.
- Crawlable. Plain HTML, and each board chooses whether search engines and AI crawlers may index it.
Portal sections
- Ideas. Post, vote, comment, search.
- Roadmap. Your statuses as columns.
- Announcements. What shipped, with reactions and comments.
Each section is a switch in settings.
An honest answer
When UserJot is the better fit
- You want a free plan the vendor has publicly committed to keeping free forever.
- You want a Swift SDK for a native app.
- You want AI to catch duplicates as users type, tag posts and draft your changelog.
- You want live chat and an AI support agent in the same tool.
- You want a self-serve importer from Canny or Nolt.
Both products are reasonable, and UserJot's pricing is the model Kjerr agrees with. They differ in appetite: UserJot adds, Kjerr declines. Neither is wrong.
And when it isn't
Choose Kjerr over UserJot if
- You want single sign-on and customer revenue data without a paid plan.
- You do not want AI writing replies to your customers.
- You want more than three teammates on the board from the start.
- You want reports on volume, time to ship and what is awaiting a response.
- You want board pages that work without JavaScript.

Migration
How to switch from UserJot to Kjerr.
This is the one page where the first step is harder than the rest, and it is not our step. Once you have the data, the move is short.
- Export from UserJot. UserJot's documented route out is its REST API, available on Starter and above: requests, comments, votes and members. We found no CSV export in its help center, so ask UserJot's support if you are on the free plan.
- Send us the file. Create your Kjerr workspace (about a minute), then email the export. We map its columns to Kjerr's and load it into your board.
- Point your users at the new board. Statuses you used are matched to yours, the roadmap fills itself from them, and single sign-on can be switched on the same day.
The import keeps each idea's title, details, created date, vote count, status and author. Comments and the list of individual voters are not carried over; the vote count is. A changelog from AnnounceKit moves over with every post's text, category, publication date and pictures. There is no self-serve importer yet: a person at Kjerr converts the file and loads it, usually within a working day, and re-running it never duplicates a row. Write to hello@kjerr.io. Questions: hello@kjerr.io
UserJot alternative: questions, answered.
What is an alternative to UserJot without an AI agent?
Kjerr is a UserJot alternative with no AI agent inside it: no auto-tagging, generated replies or support bot. AI helps the team instead: it suggests duplicates for a teammate to approve, translates, sorts feedback into Insights, proposes roadmap scores and, in AutoFlow, reads recorded customer calls. It has a public board, voting, duplicate suggestions by full-text search, merge, a status roadmap, a changelog and emails to voters. Your own AI assistant can read the board through a read-only MCP server.
Does UserJot charge per user? Does Kjerr?
Neither does. UserJot says every plan, including the free one, has unlimited users and unlimited posts, and it charges for features. Kjerr does not meter users, ideas or teammates either, and will be priced flat per workspace.
Which UserJot plan includes single sign-on and automatic login?
UserJot lists automatic login on Starter ($29 a month) and single sign-on on Professional ($59). In Kjerr, JWT single sign-on is part of every workspace, and the same token carries company, plan and MRR.
Is guest posting available? UserJot limits it to paid plans.
Kjerr has no fully anonymous posting. Reading and searching need no account, and the first post, vote or comment confirms an email address once. On UserJot, guest posting and voting are paid features.
Do I need something like UserJot's Juno or Conversations?
Juno is UserJot's AI support agent and Conversations is its live chat. Kjerr has neither and will not add them; help desks and chat are on its published list of exclusions.
Can I migrate from UserJot to Kjerr?
Yes, once you have your data. UserJot's documented export route is its REST API on paid plans; send us the result as CSV or JSON and we convert and load it. The import keeps each idea's title, details, created date, vote count, status and author. Comments and the list of individual voters are not carried over; the vote count is. A changelog from AnnounceKit moves over with every post's text, category, publication date and pictures.
What does UserJot have that Kjerr does not?
A permanent free plan, a Swift SDK, AI tagging, live chat, an AI support agent, a custom domain, guest posting, twelve languages, Slack and Discord integrations, and self-serve importers. If you need those, UserJot is the better fit.
Does Kjerr integrate with Jira, Linear, Slack or Zapier?
Not natively. Kjerr connects to your own product instead: a REST API and signed webhooks, single sign-on with a signed JWT, an Identify API for company, plan and MRR, a JavaScript SDK, and a read-only MCP server for AI assistants. A webhook can post to Slack or open a ticket if you write that step; if a ready-made two-way sync with an issue tracker is essential, Kjerr is not the right tool.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. A board starts at yourname.kjerr.io; under Settings → Custom domain you can move it to an address like feedback.yourcompany.com with one CNAME record. HTTPS is set up for you, and the old address sends visitors to the new one.
Can I remove the Kjerr branding from my board?
Yes, on every workspace and at no cost. Settings has one switch for the “hosted by Kjerr” line and one for the “Create your own free idea board” chip. Emails are sent under your workspace name.
Is single sign-on included?
Yes, on every workspace. Your product signs an HS256 JWT and users arrive on the board logged in, carrying company, plan and MRR. See the SSO documentation.
Can people give feedback without an account?
Reading and searching need no account. The first post, vote or comment confirms an email address once; there is no password to create. With single sign-on, users skip that step as well.
How long does setup take?
About a minute: sign up, confirm your email, name the workspace, and the board is live. There is nothing to install.
Give it a weekend. It's free.
Free to use, single sign-on included. No AI agent, by design.
