A changelog tool
next to the requests it answers.

Kjerr is a changelog tool that lives on the same board as your feature requests: publish what shipped, link the ideas it answers, and email subscribers. Categories, reactions, comments and search are included.

A product changelog users can follow

A product changelog is useful when people can find it, trust it and hear about it. Kjerr's Announcements section covers those three.

Categories

New feature, Improvement, Fix, Announcement. Visitors filter by category and search by text and date.

Verified email subscription

People subscribe with an email address and one confirmation click. Publishing a post can email them, under your workspace name.

Reactions and comments

Emoji reactions (👍 ❤️ 🎉 🚀) and threaded comments on every post, so a release is a conversation, not a broadcast.

Release notes linked to requests

The strongest line in any release note is that you asked for this. A Kjerr post can reference the ideas it answers, and they show under the post as related ideas.

  • Reference ideas by number and they render as links with their titles.
  • Posts support headings, lists, bold text, links and images.
  • Set the linked ideas to Shipped and their authors and voters are emailed, while the public roadmap moves them to its last column.
  • Drafts stay private until you publish.

Publishing a post, start to finish

  1. Write it. A title, a category and a body. Drafts stay private until you publish.
  2. Link the requests. Reference the ideas the release answers; they appear under the post.
  3. Publish. The post goes live on your board's Announcements section at once, and subscribers can be emailed.
  4. Close the requests. Set the linked ideas to Shipped. Their authors and every voter get their own email, because they asked for it. This is how closing the loop works.
  5. Listen. Reactions and comments arrive on the post; reply in the thread.

What this changelog tool leaves out

Kjerr's changelog is a page and an email. These are deliberately not included:

  • No popups: the widget on your site opens only when the reader clicks it.
  • No AI-written posts or summaries.
  • No native Slack or Zapier integration; webhooks and the REST API cover your own automations.

Who it is for

Product teams at SaaS companies of any size, from startups to enterprise, that want a public feedback board, a team-only roadmap scored with RICE, and reliable follow-up emails without a help-desk suite or a per-seat bill. It suits teams that already collect requests in the Kjerr customer feedback platform and want the announcement in the same place as the ask.

Questions, answered plainly.

What is a changelog tool?

A changelog tool publishes what changed in a product as dated posts that users can browse, search and subscribe to. It gives release news one permanent home, where a tweet or a chat message disappears in a day.

How do users find out about a new changelog post?

They read it on the board's Announcements section, or they get it by email. Subscribing takes an email address and one confirmation click, and publishing a post can email the subscribers. Or they see it in the widget on your own site: a count of unread posts on the launcher opens the announcements in a side panel.

Can I use Kjerr as a release notes tool?

Yes. Posts have a title, a category and a formatted body with headings, lists, links and images, which is what release notes need. See the difference between the two on the changelog examples page.

Can a changelog post link to the requests it answers?

Yes. A post can reference ideas from the board, and they appear under it as related ideas. Setting those ideas to Shipped is what emails their authors and voters.

Can people react and comment?

Yes. Each post takes emoji reactions (👍 ❤️ 🎉 🚀) and threaded comments, with the same one-time email confirmation as the rest of the board.

Can I switch the changelog off?

Yes. Ideas, Roadmap and Announcements are each a switch in settings.

Give your users an answer.

Kjerr is free during early access, with every feature included and no credit card. When paid plans arrive they will be priced per workspace, never per admin seat and never per tracked user, so the number of people who post, vote or comment never changes the bill.
