Turn customer calls into ideas with Fireflies, Fathom or tl;dv

Connect your meeting recorder with its API key. Each recorded call arrives on the Meetings page with the feedback found in it, ready to add to the board.

A recorder sits in your customer calls and writes them down. Kjerr pulls what it recorded, so the requests and problems customers raise on a call end up on the board next to the ones they typed in.

Connect a recorder

  1. In the recorder, create an API key. Fireflies: Integrations > Fireflies API. Fathom: Settings > API access. tl;dv: Settings > Personal settings > API keys.
  2. Open SettingsIntegrations, paste the key under the recorder's name and click Connect. Kjerr checks the key with the recorder before keeping it.
  3. The meetings of the last 30 days arrive within a minute, and new ones every half hour from then on. Pull now fetches at once.

The Meetings page

Each pulled meeting is a card: when it was, who was there, a link to the recording, and the points found in it. A point is a problem, a request or praise, written as an idea with a title and details and the words it rests on. Fix the wording if you like and click Add to board; the idea is created with the meeting and its recording link in an internal note, which the board never shows. Skip sets a point aside.

The recorder's own summary and action items fold out under the points, and so does a form for writing an idea from the meeting yourself. Done moves a meeting to the Done tab; nothing is deleted.

Whose idea it is

A call has two sides, your team and your customer, and the idea belongs to the customer. Kjerr knows your team from the teammates of the workspace, the recorder's own list of users and the email domain they share; everyone else on the call is a customer. Each point names the customer who raised it, also when a teammate only repeats it, and the idea it becomes is theirs: they appear under Users with the source Recorded meeting, and the same person on three calls is one person in Insights.

A customer is matched by email address when the recorder gives one, by name otherwise. A call with several customers where it is unclear who spoke, or a meeting of the team alone, leaves the idea without an author. The public board never shows the customer's name on an idea from a call, and a customer who has not signed in to the board is never emailed about it.

What is sent where

The meeting's summary, action items and transcript go to OpenAI to be read for feedback, on servers where that is set up, with the names and email addresses of the people on the call as the recorder lists them and the names of your team, so the read can tell the two sides apart. Without an AI key the page shows the recorder's summary and you write the ideas.
