The public roadmap
How the roadmap is built from your statuses, what visitors can do on it and how to change its columns.
The roadmap is not a separate document. It is the same ideas as the board, grouped into one column per status, so it is never out of date.
What visitors see
- One column for each status flagged for the roadmap, in your order, with a count.
- A card per idea, with the vote button, the title, topic tags and the number of comments.
- A switch between Most voted and Newest. Each visitor's choice is remembered for them.
- + Suggest an idea under each column, when the Ideas section is on.
Change it
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Add or remove a column | Tick or untick Roadmap on a status under SettingsStatuses. |
| Reorder or rename columns | Drag or rename the statuses on the same page. |
| Move a card | Change the idea's status in the inbox. |
| Hide topic tags on cards | Switch off Show topic tags on roadmap cards. |
| Make the titles larger | Set the text size under SettingsAppearance. |
| Switch the roadmap off | Use SettingsSite Navigation. |
Declined is off the roadmap to begin with: a declined idea keeps its page and its answer, but does not take a column.
Scores, owners and ETAs are not on this page. They live on the internal roadmap, which the team sees and customers never do.
