Find duplicates with AI merge
Let a scan read the whole board and suggest groups of duplicate ideas. You review each one and decide.
The suggestions shown while someone types catch most duplicates. AI merge finds the ones that got through: ideas worded differently that ask for the same thing. Nothing is merged unless you approve it.
Run a scan
- Click the AI merge box beside the inbox tabs.
- Click Scan the board. A bar shows the progress; a few hundred ideas take about a minute.
- You can leave the page. The scan keeps going and the suggestions wait for you.
Each teammate can run two scans a day. A new scan replaces suggestions still waiting from the last one.
Review a suggestion
A suggestion is a group of ideas with one sentence on why they look the same. Each idea is shown in full: title, text, status, votes, comments, files, topics and author.
- Choose the Main idea, the one that stays. Kjerr starts with the idea that has the most votes.
- Untick Merge into the main idea on any idea that does not belong in the group.
- If the ideas have different statuses, pick the Status to keep.
- Click Merge and email the authors or Merge without email.
If the group is wrong altogether, click Not duplicates. Those ideas will not be suggested together again.
What is sent out
The scan sends idea titles and text to OpenAI for the comparison. Names, email addresses, votes and comments stay in Kjerr.
