Invite someone

  1. Open SettingsTeam and click Invite team.
  2. Enter an email address and pick a role for it. Use + Add another email for more people.
  3. Click Invite. Each person gets an email with a link to join.

Someone new to Kjerr chooses a name and a password on the way in. Someone who already has an account just logs in. An invitation link works for seven days.

Invitations that have not been accepted are listed under Pending invitations. Resend sends a fresh link and switches the old one off; the × revokes the invitation.

The roles

RoleWhat it can do
OwnerEverything, including deleting the workspace and making other owners. Every workspace has at least one.
AdminEverything else: settings, billing, the team, every idea.
ModeratorWorks on ideas: status, replies, notes, tags, merging, announcements. Manages topics and statuses. No team, billing or board settings.
Idea SubmitterReads the inbox and adds ideas and votes on behalf of customers. Cannot change ideas.
ViewerReads the inbox, internal notes and reports. Cannot change anything.
Read-onlySees the public board only.

The full matrix is on the team roles page. Every article in this manual shows which roles can do what it describes.

Change a role or remove someone

  • Pick a new role from the menu beside a member. It applies from their next click.
  • The × beside a member removes them. They lose access immediately.
  • A workspace always keeps at least one owner and one admin, so Kjerr refuses a change that would leave it without.
  • Only an owner can change or remove another owner.

Transfer ownership

An owner can hand the workspace over under Transfer ownership: pick a member and click Transfer. They become an owner and you become an admin.
